October has a way of making us reach for different textures. A light gel may feel just right on one day; on another, a cream feels more comfortable. There is no rule that says everyone needs a richer moisturiser when autumn arrives. The useful question is: how does your skin feel after you apply it?
Two textures, two different feelings
A gel moisturiser tends to feel light and fresh. A cream gives a more enveloping finish. Neither is automatically better for October. The best choice is the one you enjoy using and that leaves your skin comfortable.
In our Beauty of Joseon selection, Red Bean Water Gel is the lighter option. If you prefer a richer texture, take a look at Dynasty Cream.
Let the finish guide you
Notice how your skin feels later in the day, rather than judging a product only in the first minute. Does it still feel comfortable? Keep what works. Does it feel tight? Try a little more product or a creamier texture. Does your routine feel too heavy? A lighter gel may be more pleasant.
You can also use different textures at different times. Perhaps a gel suits your mornings and a cream feels better in the evening. Or apply cream only to the areas that feel drier. Your routine can be flexible.
Your October experiment
For one week, pay attention to texture. Change just your moisturiser and notice how your skin feels. You do not need to rebuild the whole routine to find a better fit.
That is our October SkinNote: make room for the texture your skin actually enjoys.
Until next month,
